Foxbusiness.com - 11/11

College grads - especially those who are involved with the Occupy Wall Street protests around the U.S - are livid about the fact that they can't find work, but much of their ire stems from confusion over whether their diplomas qualify them for - or entitle them to - a job.

Rafe examines this dilemma on Foxbusiness.com and proposes a solution that can help the grads achieve the results that they're looking for.

  1. Rafe, in your article titled "Attention College Grads:..." you said, "The achievement of a college degree is not an automatic ticket punch to a well-paid dream job, let alone any job."

While that is certainly true, you misused "let alone". Let alone is used to emphasize the more exreme of the two items mentioned. The correct use in this case would be:

"The achievement of a college degree is not an automatic ticket punch to any job, let alone a well-paid dream job."
